GARFIELD BAND BOOSTER ASSOCIATION ARCHIVES
The Band Boosters Organization has been helping support the James A. Garfield band program for over 65 years. The Garfield Band Mother's Club was formed November 19, 1940 when fourteen band mothers met in the band room to discuss the organization of a club to support the school band. A nominating committee was formed and the Garfield Band Mother's Club had it's first slate of officers.

That first year the Band Mother's club also paid for the band uniform cleaning at a cost of $9.70 and hosted a holiday skating party for the band at a cost of $7.60.
